Swale (by the lovely Karie Westmann) is something you might need today.. On this cold, wet, grey November day, and big cosy shawl around the neck is just the ticket - I'm wearing my Worsted Boxy, but I find it leaves the back of my neck cold so I often wear shawls too. Today, it's the red Swale shown in the photos below. These photos were taken in summer, when a dress and shawl were warm enough to go out in! As you can see, this is a large and enveloping shawl. Worked in baby alpaca, it makes a good cardigan-substitute in the warmer months. Our shooting location was near Bolton Abbey, and what a contrast to today - it hardly seems long ago that it was lush and green. It'll be a little more bleak there right now.
