Bothel by Tracey Todhunter: crocheted hat kit

This kit is to make Bothel, which is a crocheted hat. One kit will make one hat. The kit includes two balls of Milburn DK in your chosen colour, the print pattern and a printed ECY cotton project bag.

About the pattern

A great all-rounder that you'll reach for time and again on a cold, frosty morning. This beautiful hat is a classic, with subtle stitch patterning that looks complex, yet is easy to execute. The hat works well as either a beanie fit or a slouchy fit, and has an optional bobble or cute loop. Ideal for beginners, it's also a quick, satisfying project for more experienced crocheters.

The pattern calls for Whitfell DK but this kit contains two 50g balls of Milburn DK instead which works just as well.

Samples shown use Whitfell DK in Charcoal (Large), Laburnum (Medium), Ebony (Small) and Milburn DK in Black Tulip, Wicker and Titus DK in Black Orchid (Medium)
