PRE-ORDER - Operation: Social Justice - Trans Rights are Human Rights (Brimham 4ply)

THIS PRODUCT IS A PRE-ORDER. Yarn has not yet been produced but we aim to ship it out within six weeks of the order being placed.

This colourway was originally part of the Operation: Social Justice initiative started by Angie of GamerCrafting, but we have decided to continue producing it and donating. Find out more about the background HERE. Our chosen charity is Stonewall, find out more about who they are and the important work they do HERE. 20% of the purchase price of this yarn will be donated to Stonewall to help them campaign and educate around the subject of equal rights for the LGBT community as well as to support and empower members of the community.

Please note: images show this colourway on Brimham High Twist but this listing is for Brimham 4ply.

In the set period for the fundraising we raised just under £200 (rounded up to £200) and due to the success we have decided to keep this product open and continue to periodically donate the money raised.

Brimham 4ply is a soft and bouncy sock yarn. The fine merino wool is the same quality as you will find in our other merino yarns with the addition of nylon making it especially hard wearing if it's going to be well-worn and washed a lot. It’s great for a really wide range of projects, especially socks, and being machine washable (at 40 degrees or less) makes it very practical.

85% superwash extrafine merino, 15% nylon
100g
400m/436yds
2.5 - 4mm needles
2.5 - 4mm hook
17 WPI
Machine washable

(although we recommend handwashing all handknits/crochet if possible)

We recommend that you wash dark colours separately or wash a swatch before using dark and light colours together.

As with all hand dyed yarns, I would recommend that you use two skeins at a time, alternating from each one every couple of rows/rounds (unless it's a one-skein project).
