Operation: Social Justice - Trans Rights are Human Rights (Brimham High Twist)

This colourway was originally part of the Operation: Social Justice initiative started by Angie of GamerCrafting, but we have decided to continue producing it and donating. Find out more about the background HERE. Our chosen charity is Stonewall, find out more about who they are and the important work they do HERE. 20% of the purchase price of this yarn will be donated to Stonewall to help them campaign and educate around the subject of equal rights for the LGBT community as well as to support and empower members of the community.

In the set period for the fundraising we raised just under £200 (rounded up to £200) and due to the success we have decided to keep this product open and continue to periodically donate the money raised. To date we have donated £337.66 from the sale of this colourway!

Hand dyed superwash merino with nylon fingering weight sock yarn. This is a sister yarn to our Brimham 4ply - this version is a two ply high twist yarn with the same fibre content. The two strands twisted tightly together give it a different texture, and make it a good solid yarn with plenty of structure. It's smooth and soft enough for next to skin wear as well. Worked at a looser gauge it has enough drape for lace, and it has very crisp stitch definition for cables and lace.

85% superwash extrafine merino, 15% nylon
2.5 - 4mm needles
2.5 - 5mm hook
16 WPI
Machine washable
(although we recommend handwashing all handknits/crochet if possible)

We recommend that you wash dark colours separately or wash a swatch before using dark and light colours together.

As with all hand dyed yarns, I would recommend that you use two skeins at a time, alternating from each one every couple of rows/rounds (unless it's a one-skein project).
