Dyed-to-order sweater quantities - Hayton DK (80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon) hand dyed to order

Get a sweater quantity of the yarn you want!

This listing is for Hayton DK, our merino/cashmere/nylon DK weight yarn, dyed to order in the quantity and colourway(s) you request - designed so that you can get sweater quantities (or more). We will dye this to order for you so that you have all one dyelot; we aim to ship the yarn within two to three weeks of your order being placed. If you order pre-order yarn with yarn that is in stock we will ship all items together once the pre-order yarn is ready.

Scroll through the images for examples of the colourways, some images are still to be added. As with all hand dyed yarns, colourways may vary a little between dyelots.

Hayton DK, like its 4ply counterpart, is a beautiful mix of smooth, bouncy merino, a little nylon to make it more hard wearing, and a dash of cashmere for the ultimate luxury. It knits with both bounce and drape in equal measure - using larger needles and a lacy pattern creates drape, whilst smaller needles and a closer stitch type creates a nice warm, cosy fabric. The mix of fibres combines the best of both worlds.

The merino is actually superwash merino (ie 'shrink resist'), however due to the cashmere content this yarn may felt a bit in the washing machine, hence my recommendation to handwash only.

Stats:
100g/225m/245yds
80% extrafine superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon
3.5 - 4.5mm (US4 - 7) needles
3 - 4.5mm hook
12 WPI
Handwash only, lay out flat to dry

We recommend that you wash dark colours separately or wash a swatch before using dark and light colours together.

As with all hand dyed yarns, I would recommend that you use two skeins at a time, alternating from each one every couple of rows/rounds (unless it's a one-skein project).
