This listing is for Tempo 4ply, our original merino/nylon 4ply sock yarn, dyed to order in the quantity and colourway(s) you request - designed so that you can get sweater quantities (or more). We will dye this to order for you so that you have all one dyelot; we aim to ship the yarn within two to three weeks of your order being placed. If you order pre-order yarn with yarn that is in stock we will ship all items together once the pre-order yarn is ready.

Tempo is a brilliant all-round 4ply sock yarn - it softens considerably after washing for next-to-skin wear. With the nylon content being paired with a more coarse/less fine merino fibre, it is especially hard wearing and well suited if it's going to be well-worn and washed a lot. It is ideal for things like cardis, hats, shawls and gloves, though I recommend you put it through the washing machine at least once to soften it.

We recommend that you wash dark colours separately or wash a swatch before using dark and light colours together.
As with all hand dyed yarns, I would recommend that you use two skeins at a time, alternating from each one every couple of rows/rounds (unless it's a one-skein project).
