Rambling Rose

This is exactly the kind of rose I had in mind when I designed my Rambling Rose colourway; several years ago now. It's not in my garden but once I do start on it I will want something like this. Early summer dogwalking in Yorkshire

One of the nicest things about dogwalking is seeing tthe seasons changing in more detail. So I thought I'd share what  early summer looks like in Yorkshire. This route isn't overly rural or anything - in fact we go under the A1 motorway/dual carriageway, but you don't have to walk for long to lose the noise of the traffic. At the moment everywhere looks really lush and bright green with new growth.  And there are tiny flowers growing in all the shady spots..     There's a variety of grasses, if you look closely. Sheep of Ireland

We were in Ireland (Valley of the Hare near Sneem - hugely recommended) last week.. There were lots of sheep, and I found myself sort of cataloging them. Yes, I know how to live. I shared some on social media but there are more, so here's a gallery of them (including our fluctuating and naughty garden flock). If any are blurry it's because they're phone snaps.
