Today's post is just a preview of tomorrow's update..    After such a grey and wet Autumn, a little colour is welcome.     There are batches of hand dyed Bowland DK in Ash, Woodland, Hazel, Twig, and Marigold.    There are also batches of hand dyed BFL Sock in Compost, Larch, Falling Leaves, and Tarn.    The Whitfell DK in Steel finally arrived - pre-orders went out earlier this week, but the rest of this batch will be available in this update. There is a limited quantity for the moment!    You'll notice these balls look bigger than the balls of the colours we already have.. They're just more loosely wound up - they're still 50g/100m/109yds.    In more yarny news, I'm phasing in having the Milburn 4ply wound into balls, so the latest batches of these shades are available in balls (alongside skeins for the moment!). I've done this because I think they're much neater than skeins, and I love being able to pick up yarn and cast on immediately!    I'm sure you'll have seen my favourite cheesy music-colour-based pun this week, but in case you missed it...    ...grellow, is it me you're looking for? Was that a collective groan I just heard??  Ok, I'll move on.  Askham 4ply... It's now reduced to £6 a ball from £8. It's baby alpaca (meaning it is super-fine and super-soft) and silk, so it makes a lovely lightweight, comfortable, and warm fabric.   Other noteworthy things: - We have a very limited number of Japanese hand carved shawl pins available in tomorrow's update. - New Yarnling packs will be there too - they make cute gifts and are great for little bits of colourwork. - We offer free shipping on UK orders over £50 and international orders over £100. - Last posting dates before Christmas are HERE, and orders placed after 5pm on the 18th of December will go out on January the 5th.
