We're seeking test knitters for these beauties by Jane Burns. You don't have to do all three, but we do need all three testing if y see what I mean. They're worked in 4ply with optional beading, and there are multiple sizes for each piece (there's a short cowl version!). Interested? Yarndale news

August didn't half go quickly, did it?! September is our busiest month, what with collection release, Yarn in the City (this Sat), and Yarndale...  This yarn is all for Yarndale.. And it's not the half of it..       Talking of Yarndale, a couple of things -  1. We'll be on stand 11.. it's along the long wall, nearest to the knit & natter lounge, and we're behind Texere.  2. Time to announce that as well as our own collection, we're hosting Louise Zass-Bangham's new collection! She'll be on our stand with her books and patterns, and we will have...

August Update News

Morning (or not)! Just a quick update on the latest ECY update... I'm currently busy dyeing like mad for Yarndale, but have prepared a lovely selection of yarns and colours for the website first. One thing to note is that we will be at the Yarn In The City pop-up marketplace in London on Saturday the 5th.. we'll have a very limited amount of yarn, as space is really limited at the marketplace so we're just travelling in the car. Anyway, we will bring a small selection of the prettiest things (always a tough choice)! Anyway, on with the update....

Fuchsia Friday

Following my last colour-themed post, when I noticed more yarn/flower colour matching happening in the garden, of course I had to play again. This time it's all about the pink. First up.. The yarn is BFL Sock in Alpine (for Kathy's Knits in Edinburgh) - it's named for the bright pinks of many alpines, e.g. saxifrage, pincushion flowers, and... That being said I have none in flower right now (just given the saxifrage a hair cut), so here it is along with sweet peas:    Hydrangea (this one belonged to my Grandma and is older than me):    And begonia...
