12 Days of Winter (in mini skeins) is my way of bringing some cheer and something nice to that post-festive time when the days are still really dark (in the northern hemisphere at least), folks have started taking all the cheerful decorations down, and it can seem like everything's a bit grey (I assume it's not just me!). My aim is to give you something to look forward to after the holidays, and I've kept the price as low as possible by not adding costly extras. You could open it at any time over winter, maybe a skein a day, or maybe just on the tougher days, or whatever suits you best. 

What's included?

12 individually wrapped hand dyed 20g mini skeins of lovely soft Brimham 4ply - 85% superwash extrafine merino/15% nylon (see HERE for the yarn page and more info). Each mini skein will be labelled with a different daily nice thing which has been the inspiration for the colour, so some are cheerful things to look out for over winter, and some are nice things to do (all things that don't need much effort!). The 12 skeins will come in a cardboard postage box (not a presentation box as such, I didn't want to add that to the cost). 

The colourways are designed to all work together as one cohesive palette so that you can use them all in one project if you want. 

There isn't a pattern included as there are lots of patterns available for advent mini skeins. However when I researched this - albeit a couple of years ago now - I noticed that they were mostly knitting, so I have produced my own crochet pattern which calls for 12 x 20g minis - it's available on Payhip, Ravelry, and HERE. The stripe lengths are designed to use up the minis without loads left over. 

When will it ship?

I have the minis already at the time of writing so will be gradually dyeing them over the next couple of weeks which will take us to the end of November. They'll take quite a lot of processing (this is the thing with minis!) so I will aim to post them around December the 12th if not earlier. You'll receive an order shipped email when I do. These are not aimed at being a Christmas thing so I haven't planned to get them out in time to arrive before Christmas.

We will be at the mercy of the postal services at their busiest time of year so please be patient about delivery. If you want you can select First Class, First Class Signed For, or Courier for the fastest UK deliveries; and Courier for the fastest non-EU deliveries (although I still wouldn't assume it'll be quick).
