The Crochet Project projects by Sparkles

Hi all, Laura here again with more of my adventures in crochet! You may have seen our recent posts about the upcoming Skimming Stones MCAL from The Crochet Project. I am very excited to take part in this as it is the perfect opportunity to combine crochet and our yarns! This will not be my first attempt at a pattern from The Crochet Project as in the past year I have completed quite a few projects and I would like to share these with you. In September, I had the honour of being a bridesmaid for my friend at her...

FFFS! Five reasons to knit this awesome shawl.

FFFS! No not that. This is the Fuss Free Festival Shawl by Louise Tilbrook - if you're in the Everyday Knitter Facebook group you'll have undoubtedly seen posts about this. I've made two, and I know lots of other people have made more than one. So... why? 1. Here's the whole collection together - you can really see the soft, bleak palette and rich textures, and I think they work beautifully with my yarns - I love bleak landscapes and barely-there colours, and find them incredibly compelling. Strood Strood is...

October's handmade wardrobe

I thought I'd share some of the handmade wardrobe we used last month - after all, his is largely what it's all about, isn't it? Well, it is for me, although I enjoy most of the process of making things too. Without further ado...  Daydreamer Socks in Milburn 4ply (85% British BFL/15% silk) in Harevst Gold.    Chromium (by David) in Whitfell DK (100% baby alpaca) in Ebony, Steel (which is coming soon), and Natural.     Jen by Josée Paquin in Hayton 4ply (merino/cashmere/nylon)    And Tiny Shoots by Kate Heppell in Milburn 4ply in Rust (this top layers incredibly well...
