In September this year issue nine of Laine magazine was released, and the cover design is the Woodbine pullover made using our Bowland Aran and Eldwick Lace. The bittersweet element of this is that it might be the last issue of the magazine (we're not 100% sure but they did say they'd be stopping after this). We are honoured to have been involved and wish the team all the best moving forward.

We produced six different colourway options - the original colours, plus a set of blues, a set of purples, a set of greys, a set of pinks, and a set of silver/green. I knew the silver/green set was risky as Hedgerow (the green) is very sludgy, and greens are hit and miss at the best of times. It's been the least popular of them all🤣  - the rest all sold out.

However... you CAN still buy these sweater packs at the moment, as we are offering them on pre-order - I (Victoria) am basically dyeing them to order, for you. Take a look HERE if you're interested. I'm pleasantly surprised that weeks later we are still selling lots of these - it's very gratifying because having produced such a lot of yarn for a pattern release is a big financial risk, if I'm honest.

Woodbine is inspired by timber cabins and forests covered in a blanket of heavy snow – a scenery so typical to Finland (that's where the Laine team live and work). It uses a strand of Bowland Aran, our 100% superwash British Bluefaced Leicester yarn, held double with Eldwick Lace, our kid mohair and silk blend - you use two colours of the aran, so they both need to go with the one colour of mohair.

Below is the yarn in the Original Colours pack - Bowland Aran in Oak and Bark, and Eldwick Lace in Bark.

Here are the other colour combinations for you:

Greys: Charcoal/Ash

 Blues: Pennine Mist/Campanula

Pinks: Rambling Rose/Stonecrop

Purples: Thunder/Dusk

Sludgy green/silver: Hedgerow/Silver Birch (I know the Hedgerow photographs as brown but it is a greenish shade)

If you want to choose your own combinations here are the yarn requirements and sizing details:
