Cloud Cowl by Victoria Magnus. These fluffy cloud-like articles are designed to use exactly one, two, or three skeins of our gorgeous Lowther Lace hand dyed yarn. By using a fairly loose gauge you get a fabric that is light and airy but also really cosy and cuddly. The small size is designed to loop once around the neck with a little drape. The medium size is designed to loop twice around the neck with a little drape too; and the large size is designed to loop twice around the neck but being bigger will cosy up to your chin more.

Additionally, the medium size is big enough to be used as a wrap over the shoulders and the large size is big enough to use as a wrap but also makes a pretty amazing little lap blanket.

The Yarnling version is designed specifically to use exactly one 5g 4ply Yarnling per stripe. In the sample we’ve used 24 Yarnlings making it ideal for an advent project, but you could use as many or few as you like. Note that some yarn bases are slightly shorter than others and if you get a Yarnling of one of those you might only get one round out of it instead of two. You can also use a single skein of 4ply/fingering weight yarn and separate instructions for this are included.

The latest addition to this pattern is a chunky weight version with three size options.
