Soft and drapey British Bluefaced Leicester wool blended with silk in shade Crocosmia - this is a rich burnt orange which has a little bit of zing to it. It is a colour that will pop, but without being too much.

This yarn is so light to wear, and yet lovely and warm and hardwearing, with gorgeous, rich depth of colour. It's great for a really wide range of projects, and being machine washable makes it potentially a bit more practical, particularly for socks.

We recommend that if you are planning to use a dark colour with a pale colour to make a swatch with them both and wash it to make sure no colour contamination occurs before starting your project. Hot water in particular can make colours run; if in doubt use cool water and no soap/detergent.

There is very little variation in the colour between our mill dyed yarn dyelots, so you should be able to use multiple dyelots in one project. We always fulfill orders from a single dyelot where possible.
