Hello and thank you for your interest in Eden Cottage Yarns Ltd.

Eden Cottage Yarns is a UK-based yarn company, with an emphasis on simple understated colours with a timeless appeal. Taking inspiration from the natural
world, the palette of shades is carefully developed to complement intricate detail in complex patterns, as well as taking a starring role in simpler pieces. Coupled with the range of yarn blends, meticulously chosen for their specific breed qualities, every Eden Cottage Yarns project is a treat on the needles and a delight to wear.

Eden Cottage Yarns consists of owner and dyer Victoria Magnus; office manager and administrative lead Laura Littler; Claire Turner, assisting with twisting, labeling and shows; occasional assistant and designer, Victoria’s partner David O’Kelly; and a variety of support staff in the UK. Founded in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, the company is home-based and now situated in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.

Primarily a hand-dyed yarn company from its formation, in 2014 a range of mill-dyed yarns was added to the offering, due to high demand. These yarns include the signature Milburn 4ply, a luxurious blend of 85% British Bluefaced Leicester and 15% silk; Askham 4ply, a beautifully soft 70% baby alpaca, 30% silk yarn; Whitfell DK, 100% gorgeous baby alpaca; and Whitfell Chunky, also 100% super snuggly baby alpaca. Spring 2018 sees the launch of an exciting new line, Milburn DK, which is the same luxurious blend of 85% British Bluefaced Leicester and 15% silk as its 4ply counterpart, and in the same range of 20 colours. This is to allow retailers to re-stock quickly with a good range of repeatable shades to meet demand.

Hand-dyed yarn is not available to our wholesale customers. It would be greatly appreciated if this stipulation would be respected. We reserve the right to refuse orders as a result of abuse of this condition.
