Milburn DK™ BFL/Silk in Azalea (Dyelot ECY06032020)

Note: This colourway has not been discontinued. If a newer batch is not currently available, it will be in the near future.

Soft and drapey British Bluefaced Leicester wool blended with silk in shade Azalea, which is a light, zingy pink with a hint of coral. This yarn comes in balls meaning you can cast on immediately!

Azalea can be used as an alternative for hand-dyed colourways Dianthus, Vintage Ribbon, Geum and Azalea.

This yarn is so light to wear, and yet lovely and warm and hardwearing, with gorgeous, rich depth of colour and a beautiful sheen from the silk. It's great for a really wide range of projects, and being machine washable makes it a bit more practical.

Yarn info:
85% British Bluefaced Leicester, 15% Mulberry Silk
50g balls
112m/122yds
3.5 - 4.5mm needles (US 4 - 7)
3.5 - 5.5mm hook (US E-4 to I-9)
12 WPI
Machine washable on a gentle/wool cycle
Lay flat to dry

We recommend that if you are planning to use a dark colour with a pale colour to make a swatch with them both and wash it to make sure no colour contamination occurs before starting your project. Hot water in particular can make colours run; if in doubt use cool water and no soap/detergent.

Current dyelots in stock are: ECY06032020 and ECY28042021

Although this dyelot number states 2020, the yarn is a 2022 batch. The labels had been printed in error and are being used to avoid waste.

We only have these dyelots but our Stockists may have previous dyelots. Find a list of our stockists HERE. There is very little variation in the colour between our mill dyed yarn dyelots, so you should be able to use multiple dyelots in one project. We always fulfill orders from a single dyelot where possible.

For larger quantities, select the 500g pack from the dropdown menu. Yarn packs come at a discounted price compared with purchasing the balls individually.
