A few neutrals
I just thought I'd share a few of my neutrals with you (since noticing I have most of them in stock for a change).. Top: Linen and Natural Second row down: Whispering Grass and Driftwood Third row down: Compost, Bark and Stone Bottom row: Silver Birch, Slate, Ash and Steel That's all! Thankyou for your patience whilst we've been away at Edinburgh Yarn Festival which was quickly followed by a trip to a&e, causing us to be out of action for about ten days. Tips for Visiting Shows
After years of visiting shows as a customer and vendor, and contributing to other peoples' show advice guides, I thought it might finally be time to compile my own. If you have any to add, please leave a comment below. Shows are brilliant.. they can be incredibly inspiring and fun, but they can also be overwhelming, exhausting, and confusing. Hopefully these tips will help you get the best out of your trip. Set off early: Look up your route and how long it's going to take. ECY news
I have happy news today which I'm excited to share with you: following a lot of correspondence and number crunching, I've got us better pricing on our mill dyed yarns - as in the cost of them to us. I'm obviously delighted about it, as it means I've just been able to a) reduce the retail prices, b) reduce the wholesale prices, and c) increase the margin that shops will be able to make on the yarns, making them more viable (it's not easy coming up with these numbers!). Ewe & Ply: a new LYS in Shrewsbury
Today I thought I'd introduce you to one of our lovely new stockists, Ewe & Ply, which is based in Shrewsbury - the gallery level of the market hall to be more accurate. I've seen pics of the market hall and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I used to love market halls as a teenager, for their little independent and quirky shops, and these days they seem to have either gone really cheap and rubbish, or more upmarket - Shrewsbury has done the latter, evidently (which I applaud)!
