It's still cold, but the bulbs are coming up, and the days are longer and lighter.. So I thought today's little yarn inspiration gallery should be pale colours. Here you go:   The colours are (L-R):  Top - Blossom Row 2 - Natural and Misty Woods Row 3 - Ice, Apricot Tulip and Air Bottom - Geum, Dahlia, Spring Buds, and Dianthus There's a handy search function on the ECY website:    The search results show up as you type:    Press 'return' to get this view:     Just click on the titles for more yarn info.

ECY news

I have happy news today which I'm excited to share with you: following a lot of correspondence and number crunching, I've got us better pricing on our mill dyed yarns - as in the cost of them to us. I'm obviously delighted about it, as it means I've just been able to a) reduce the retail prices, b) reduce the wholesale prices, and c) increase the margin that shops will be able to make on the yarns, making them more viable (it's not easy coming up with these numbers!). Purple Yarn

Yesterday I was in the main office/stockroom and noticed a few purples near to each other, which took my fancy. Or at least they are until they sell out. Then they may or may not be. ...

Using Ravelry's Pattern Search

It always strikes me as a great shame when people say they don't know how to use Ravelry.. because the pattern database is SO useful on there. So I thought I'd put together a little tutorial on how to use Ravelry's pattern search. It's based on my own experience, bearing in mind that I used to work in a yarn shop and show people this all the time. If I've missed anything out (I bet there'll be something really obvious) or you have any questions please do comment on here about it. I will keep it as simple as I can,...
