The Drift Collection... four years on! We revisit an ECY classic.
Today marks four years since the release of our Drift Collection! Can you believe it?! I know some of you will have been involved in test-knitting for it and will know how big a deal it was for us. I (Victoria) still worked alone at that point, and producing a quite large collection from loads of different designers, whilst still running the business, was a huge challenge. Iām really grateful to her for answering my nosey questions, and the answers are very interesting⦠enjoy! Can you tell us a little about your background and how you came to become a designer?Iāve been crocheting since I was four and always ātweakedā published patterns, so it was inevitable I...

Anna Elliott was one of the very first people I collaborated with, back when I lived in Manchester and worked at Purl City Yarns - I think that that might be how I met her actually. It seems like a lifetime ago, so this interview is probably a bit overdue if weāre honest! Itās really interesting though so I hope youāll enjoy hearing about the design process and more⦠ Can you tell us...
An introduction to weaving with Ange Sewell from Weft Blown
Knitting and Crochet are not the only things you can do with yarn and sometimes we canĀ forget that. So when Ange Sewell of Weft Blown, a shop primarily focused on weaving, approached us about becoming a stockist we were delighted. By stocking our Milburn DK among a selection of books and other items, we have been opened up to - and are receiving more enquiries from - the weaving community. The only problem is that between all of us at ECY Shedquarters our knowledge of weaving is very limited. We wanted to fix that and to share this new found...
