Since this week has been particularly busy and stressful, but has included so much yarn, I thought I'd best share it with the world. It'd be rude not to, really. It's been gloriously sunny for a lot of the week. I've been dyeing a large volume of yarn, as well as dealing with a load of other stuff. My Instagram feed does feature the pretty stuff, but behind the scenes life is full of the usual pressures, plus there's all the hard work that running any business involves. That's Titus 4ply in Grace, above. It's a new shade of light...

I just thought I'd share a few of my neutrals with you (since noticing I have most of them in stock for a change)..   Top: Linen and Natural Second row down: Whispering Grass and Driftwood Third row down: Compost, Bark and Stone  Bottom row: Silver Birch, Slate, Ash and Steel That's all!  Thankyou for your patience whilst we've been away at Edinburgh Yarn Festival which was quickly followed by a trip to a&e, causing us to be out of action for about ten days. Yesterday I was in the main office/stockroom and noticed a few purples near to each other, which took my fancy. So today I give you: a gallery of purple yarn.     From left to right (above) they are: Whitfell Chunky in Damson; Malham DK in Salvia; Derwent 4ply in Salvia; Tempo DK in Buddleja; Bowland DK in Buddleja; Milburn 4ply skein in Damson; Milburn 4ply ball in Damson; and Theseus Lace in Salvia.     And of course, they're all over at the ECY website. Or at least they are until they sell out. Then they may or may not be. ...

Happy news! The Whitfell DK in Steel is finally here. We have to label it all, and then the pre-ordered yarn will go out tomorrow morning..    ..The rest of the remaining yarn will be in Sunday's update at 12 noon. I have a very limited quantity, and I'm not sure how long it'll take to get more.     So.. I'd better crack on with the labelling!

August didn't half go quickly, did it?! September is our busiest month, what with collection release, Yarn in the City (this Sat), and Yarndale...  This yarn is all for Yarndale.. And it's not the half of it..       Talking of Yarndale, a couple of things -  1. We'll be on stand 11.. it's along the long wall, nearest to the knit & natter lounge, and we're behind Texere.  2. Time to announce that as well as our own collection, we're hosting Louise Zass-Bangham's new collection! She'll be on our stand with her books and patterns, and we will have...
