Titus Lace: projects and patterns using this classic merino/silk blend

This blog post is designed as a useful resource for inspiration for a specific yarn. There are projects that use it, and patterns that call for it. It's so handy to have all this in one place!  Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. We've linked to patterns and projects that are available to purchase/view elsewhere. If they're only available on Ravelry we will say that, but not link to it.    The first part of this blog post will give you patterns that specifically call for Titus Lace and the second part shows you our projects using this yarn....

Project ideas for DK Yarnlings™

As well as our 4ply Yarnlings we have DK ones too. These are 10g balls of yarn as we thought that doing 5g of DK seemed too small to be worth it. That means they have approximately 22m in each one - that will vary according to the yarn base though.  Here are some ideas as to what to do with them (aside from just keep them looking cute in a jar)...   Quadratic by David O'Kelly  (Knitting) The original Yarnling project!! This pattern is written for both 4ply and DK yarns. It is a simple squishy triangular shawl pattern...

I’ve long been a fan. Way before they were on-trend ;)    ECY yarn-enabler Debbie is the same. And she came to work one day with this gorgeous project - a cowl made using grey 4ply (Tempo 4ply) held double with pink fluffy...

Swainby Cowl: a versatile wardrobe staple

This cowl idea stemmed from me wanting to make something squishy for around my neck using three strands of yarn together, but also not wanting to leave much (if anything) left over. I pored over stitch textures and options for ages as I knew I wanted something fairly simple which would allow the marled colours to shine, but also which wouldn’t be too boring to knit. There are already loads of (lovely) patterns in traditional fisherman’s rib so this is a different take on that. The full-sized cowl is designed to loop three times snug around the neck if you’ve...

ECY does Shawlography - an MKAL by Stephen West

MKALs (mystery knit-a-longs) are not normally something that I get involved in because I am usually so far behind with new pattern releases that the KAL element is already over by the time I get involved! The closest I normally get is creating yarn packs for others to make wonderful things from. But for some reason this one hit at just the right time (Oct 2021 I think) and when I was in the mood for doing something different. I mentioned it to yarn-enablers Debbie and Claire and it piqued their interest too, so before we knew it we had an ECY Shedquarters...
