Titus Lace: projects and patterns using this classic merino/silk blend

Hencliffe revisited: a re-release of our large lacy wrap pattern
Initially released in 2014, Hencliffe is a large rectangular lace wrap. The lace pattern is similar to that found in Victoria's Willow designs (shawl, hat and mitts) and gives a lightweight fabric with beautiful drape. Hencliffe is perfect for snuggling up in or draping around your shoulders for an elegant cover up. The pattern previously used our mill dyed Askham 4ply in Blossom but has now been reissued calling for Titus 4ply in Whispering Grass. The silk content of the Titus 4ply adds a bit of shine making this project feel really special. You will need 200g/800m/872yds (usually two skeins) of a 4ply/fingering weight yarn...

Willow Fingerless Mitts: intro, notes, and a finished project gallery
The first of my new designs to accompany the refreshed Willow Shawl, Willow Fingerless Mitts use a column of the Willow lace motif to add detail to the back of the hand. The rest of the mitt is fairly straightforward and the pattern offers ways to adjust both the hand size and length. In the pattern development stage I tried a few different iterations to get the lace panel positioning right. I also realised during testing that I hadn't followed my own pattern for some early samples! 🙈 A very valuable lesson in reading the pattern rather than assuming you know...
Willow Hat: intro, notes, and a finished project gallery
The second accompaniment to the Willow Shawl and the final in the trilogy 🤣. The hat was much more complicated to figure out due to the decreases, and using Stitchmastery software really has been crucial in getting these patterns written up. The pattern has a fitted beanie option and a slouchy option. If made according to the pattern this hat should use 30-50g of yarn. Riverside Walks shawl - fluff, sparkle and lace!
Riverside Walks was a shawl pattern that was over a year in the making - my initial sample was made in Spring 2020. I knew I wanted to get it written up and out for testing but with house renovations going on the notebook it was in got packed away and I couldn't find it for ages afterwards. Once the notebook reappeared Laura and I got to the task of putting it into a template, getting to grips with charting software and getting it to a suitable stage for testing.
