Swainby Cowl: a versatile wardrobe staple
This cowl idea stemmed from me wanting to make something squishy for around my neck using three strands of yarn together, but also not wanting to leave much (if anything) left over. I pored over stitch textures and options for ages as I knew I wanted something fairly simple which would allow the marled colours to shine, but also which wouldn’t be too boring to knit. Hencliffe revisited: a re-release of our large lacy wrap pattern
Initially released in 2014, Hencliffe is a large rectangular lace wrap. The lace pattern is similar to that found in Victoria's Willow designs (shawl, hat and mitts) and gives a lightweight fabric with beautiful drape. Hencliffe is perfect for snuggling up in or draping around your shoulders for an elegant cover up. The pattern previously used our mill dyed Askham 4ply in Blossom but has now been reissued calling for Titus 4ply in Whispering Grass. Free Pattern: Lucky Dip Yarnling Cowl (DK)
Like the 4ply version, this cowl is a simple and fun project to do with our Lucky Dip Yarnlings - it uses 10 of them which you can get from THIS page on our website. The DK version is just that bit more cosy than the 4ply version and I've found myself using both cowls just as much, depending on the weather! Magic Circles: a beautiful crochet scarf by Janie Crow
Initially released late in 2019, Magic Circles Scarf is a beautiful scarf (it's called that but we'd describe it as a wrap tbh!) design from Janie Crow.
