Round Up: Fibre East 2016

In case you're thinking of going to Fibre East.. I can recommend it! This year was our first year at this show - we actually almost went in a previous year then had to cancel due to a family wedding, so it felt like it'd been a long time coming. There are sheep.. here's regal sheep: Wee sheep: Smug sheep: And Derpy sheep (who was a cutie): Here's our little stall. Having just moved house we were really glad I'd booked just a small one. We couldn't fit all the yarn in the car, but since we had the British...

New kits: Tunny

Love to crochet? Here's a little hat/beret I think you'll like.. This is Tunny from our Bletchley Collection by Joanne Scrace, which was released in December 2014 and continues to be popular.  The original hat sample, which you can see on the Ravelry pattern page HERE was made in Milburn 4ply (that's the superwash BFL/silk) with Rust (main colour), Harvest Gold, and Night Sky (contrast colours). That's Titus 4ply in Grace, above. It's a new shade of light...

ECY news

I have happy news today which I'm excited to share with you: following a lot of correspondence and number crunching, I've got us better pricing on our mill dyed yarns - as in the cost of them to us. I'm obviously delighted about it, as it means I've just been able to a) reduce the retail prices, b) reduce the wholesale prices, and c) increase the margin that shops will be able to make on the yarns, making them more viable (it's not easy coming up with these numbers!). You can see the newly priced yarns at http://www.edencottageyarns.co.uk     I'm...

Ewe & Ply: a new LYS in Shrewsbury

Today I thought I'd introduce you to one of our lovely new stockists, Ewe & Ply, which is based in Shrewsbury - the gallery level of the market hall to be more accurate. I've seen pics of the market hall and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I used to love market halls as a teenager, for their little independent and quirky shops, and these days they seem to have either gone really cheap and rubbish, or more upmarket - Shrewsbury has done the latter, evidently (which I applaud)! Anyway, we sent Teri and Becca some of our lovely yarn recently, and they...
