We thought it would be really useful to have a blog post of pattern recommendations for our Bowland Lace yarn (we also have Askham Lace - baby alpaca/silk - and Titus Lace - merino/silk - which would work too) as 2ply laceweight isn't the easiest to know what to do with other than lace shawls. We are proud of all our yarns, but of course our British wool ones are a particular source of joy. Our Bowland and Milburn yarn ranges have been an intergral part of our offering for years, with Bowland going right back to the beginning of ECY in 2011. Bowland DK is one of my longest-stocked yarns and has been with me since the very beginning of ECY in 2011!    Like the other siblings in the Bowland range, Bowland DK is pure superwash British Bluefaced Leicester (BFL). This wool is quintessentially British and isn't produced on a commercial scale anywhere else, so with a limited supply and ever-high demand it can be pretty costly.
